Highway J is a band which strives for one thing: to play the music that they have poured their heart and soul into creating for as many people as they can…and have fun doing so. “Rock Band” is the title most often given to Highway J but the band strives earnestly to not be mired down in one genre or typecast into one particular musical style. Rather, Highway J’s members aim to blend all of the subtle intricacies in the vast array of musical styles which have impacted each of them throughout their lives- and in doing so create something original…fresh, but familiar.
Highway J to this point has been completely self-contained. The band has not only created its own music, but also has managed and promoted from within, as well as recorded and produced four albums on their own. Highway J is currently starting plans on a fifth album to be released this winter and the band is always in the process of creating new material.
Above all the band members of Highway J enjoy playing live shows and sharing their passion for their music with their fans. The band is tireless in their pursuit to create energetic, powerful and exciting live performances and continue building their fan base.
The band has played in many places in the Midwest including Chicago, St. Louis, Rock Island, Champaign, Peoria and Bloomington just to name a few. The band has a diverse group of fans and has a strong following.
